Surreal

It's been almost one and a half years since I last posted anything on this blog and the last post I had was about my goals for 2015. It's like a miracle that the most important ones that I have listed on the list of goals I had came true the year after.

Here are the things that came true in 2015 and 2016:

1) Buy a Car, Learn how to Drive
- Never thought I would be owning my own car! It's like a dream come true. Before I thought those who own a car are only those who are rich but thanks to new technology, owning a car is not that hard to achieve. If you have the money to pay for the down payment and enough resources to pay for the monthly amortization, it's really within reach. I'm grateful that my older brother lend me P42,000 for my down payment and my sister who is working as a nurse in Singapore pledge to help me in my monthly amortization. Thank you for giving me people who never failed to help me realize my dreams. Though I never learned how to drive - it's OK. My hubby is  the one driving for us which for me is more convenient hehe. Here's the pic
my of my beloved car, Ariah.

2)Reunite with Jojo's Family
-My hubby and I has been together for more than 12 years now and to be honest with you, I never really had a "true" bonding moments with my in laws. If I would count how many  times I met them personally, I would say more or less four times. Last part of 2015, after my father died, I was able to reunite with Jojo's family. They went and accompanied us to the wake and interment of my father. It's just so sad that we had that bonding moment in the saddest part of my life but I am still grateful that they gave their respect and I felt better knowing they are around that time. We also had our lunch after the burial of my father.

 3)Get Pregnant
-This is the ultimate wish/prayer I had for 2015. This is the last on my list because I know that only a miracle can make this wish come true. But it did. I was shocked upon learning that I was indeed pregnant by looking on the pregnancy test kit I purchased before. It took me 5 tests to finally convince myself that I was indeed pregnant. I am already 36 years old and I'm on the heavy side. I also had PCOS and for women with PCOS and with irregular menstruation...conceiving is really hard. Earlier that year, my hubby also had his sperm count test and it also shows it's hard for him to get someone pregnant because 50% of his sperm is immobile. Then one month after my father died, God gave us a surprise... we will be having own child. He is indeed a God who gives and takes away. I have been super sad because of my father's passing but my emotions shifted 360 degrees when I've learned I am conceiving a child. This is indeed a miracle  and until now, I still have times when I still can't believe it and I stand in awe on how God's hand can turn things around.

I will be delivering in less than three weeks and I am sooo excited to meet our little angel. Will update you. :)

Goals for 2015!

Happy New Year!!!

It's been months since I last posted something in here but I'm happy that I was still able to find time to get back to this. Hopefully this will be the start of a habit of posting at least one entry a week.

I wish I could go back to the time when blogging is so much a part of me...

Anyways, I want to share with you my goals for 2015. Forgive me for the wrong grammar because it's supposed to be a single goal for the year but I decided to make it multiple goals so I will have  more things to celebrate at the end of the year. I've learned from my favorite author Bo Sanchez that if you have a goal in mind, you have to write it down, and this is what I did! And I posted it in our bedroom wall... :)

First, be a servant of God - for years I've been wanting to be a part of the Church, I mean being able to serve God through the Church. Need to devote at least one day of my week to Church activities so I can show God how I value him. Hopefully that will happen very soon...once we were able to find a Church near our place. My mom is going to a Church nearby but she's so popular there the pastor might know I am living in with a man who is not my husband. Though we're planning of tieing the knot this August, I still want my mom to have some kind of a privacy so were still looking.

In line with this goal, I hope I can read the entire Bible this year. It's been my goal ever since but till now, I haven't read at least half of the Bible. So this year, hopefully I can find the time and the inspiration to do it!

Second, Invest in stocks! There has been several instances where I already have the money to buy my initial stocks but I'm kinda hesitant as P5000 will really go a long way. I'm fervently praying I could convince myself that investing in the Stock Market is for my future. This is a necessity.

Get Married, yup! I will be celebrating my 35th birthday on February 22 and my birthday wish is to get married this year. Me and my partner is not rooting for a "bongga" marriage, in fact, we've talked about it long time ago. Now, I want to make it to reality. August 8 is the target date. We will both go the the city hall where our wedding will be officiated and we will just invite our friends and families in the reception in our house where we will just get a caterer for a hassle free celebration. Our budget? P20,000 hahaha! Spell PRACTICAL.

Buy a Car and learn how to drive. This is my life long dream, to have my own car. Last September, I applied for a car loan and was approved for a P500,000 loan! I've spoken with my brother and sister and they all agreed to help me. My brother will shoulder the downpayment and my sister will shoulder the P3000/month amortization. The car that we want to purchase is a Toyota Wigo which will cost us P9000 monthly...which means I have to shoulder P6000/month car payment. Phew! I've been paying a lot these past few months, house amortization, utilities, my parents allowance and some "debt" brought about by not so wise spending so I feel I wont be able to handle the additional expenses. So the wish of having a car of my own is still on the parking lot. Will have to decide if we will continue with the plan once my hubby already got a job.

This will be it for now as I still have a lot of things to do. I have to post the clothes I will be selling in my online shop. Check on my online shop at facebook.com/my-chubbywaist. Till next post!

Back To Blogging

It’s been sssoooo long since I last posted here. Ages! We’ll I’m glad for this second chance the Lord gave me to post again on my first ever created blog. Imagine, I had this since 2004! Those were the time’s when all I can think of is to blog. Too many things happened and I know I won’t be able to post it all here, but I am trying to create new memories and hopefully I will be able to capture it though this blog. It’s Monday today but I didn’t go to the office. First, I don’t feel like it – I’m not always like this, in fact, this is the first absent I had for this year. Second, it’s my hubby’s birthday last Saturday and I feel I was not able to give him a decent birthday celebration because of money matters. Not that we will be celebrating it again today and I already have a money to spend for it, it’s just that I’ve realized, I need one day to plan how I will be able to revive back my passion to blog again. Blogging has been my bread and butter (in some sort) for around four years (oh those were the glory days of my blogging career) and I have been getting review offers for a fee. But gone are those days and I want to get back to that phase when “I don’t have to worry if payday is a week away because I am anticipating my blogging revenue tomorrow” kinda feeling. Well I hope this is the beginning of a fruitful blogging career I am dreaming of. Wish me luck!

Online Marketing

How I miss blogging just for the purpose of blogging, just the simplicity of blogging your mind out. Writing about the things that you feel, things that are most special to you. But I know I need to be practical. I need to ensure my future. I need to make sure that we would always have food on our table and roof on our head. So here I am, still working on my blogs even on my rest days. It's okey, I'm enjoying it. I love working at home and seeing things going on my way.

By the way, I just recently started an online business about blog advertising and online marketing. It is still on it's second week and no advertisers yet but I hope and pray God would give me his blessings and make this online job a success. I am currently hiring 5 article writers for this online business of mine for a minimal fee. Most of them are my officemates. Though I am just giving them a dollar per article, I promised to increase their salary once advertisers pour in. I hope and pray God would allow me to work on this and help my friends financially as well. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Online Degrees

My niece who is now based in California chatted with me Facebook and asked my opinion about how to encourage his son, now on his 3rd year in college to finish his studies. It's just so happen that he refuses to go to school anymore as he already was hired as a salesperson in a nearby grocery store. Though his mom already told her all the con's of not finishing his studies, his son doesnt seem to care anymore. The moment he had his first salary he felt as if he is already in control of his life and doesnt want to follow his mom's advice anymore. I feel for my niece and knows how hard it is for her. She only wants the best for her son and knows that there are better opportunities for him if he could finish his college education. The only thing I could do is to listen to her burdens since I don't have any better option on what she needs to do to change his mind.

That night, I couldn't sleep. I was really affected by her situation. So I tried to think logically and searched the net for any blogs or websites that could provide my niece a better solution to her problem. And I stumbled upon a site that offers online education. As I browsed through the site, I've learned that anyone could now finish their degrees online even without going to the actual school. Their students can study at the comfort of their own home. Wow! I myself was in awe of what these computers can do on our society. It's a huge leap in our technology. It is widely accepted as a form of education in America. I can't wait to tell my niece about this news. I hope his son would take this option for his own good.

Dentist Appointment Cancelled

Were supposed to go to the dentist today for my check up but Jojo wasn't able to call the dentist for an appointment. Hayz, it's been two weeks since my impacted wisdom tooth has been removed but I still have this stitch in my gums that needs to be removed one week after the operation. Because of my lazyness and my lack of discipline...I wasn't able to meet with my dentist. I hope I can meet him tomorrow and had my stitch taken cared of.

Another Hit

I feel so awful today. We had our final scorecard for the month of April and I can't believe my eyes when I've learned that I failed it. With just one metric, all my efforts in passing my scorecard was torn into pieces. Now, I need to pass my May scorecard so as to ensure my continuous employment with the company. To be honest with you, it's scary. It's scary in the sense that I've been planning my future with my retirement pay in mind. I want to stay for another one and a half years in my current company so I could get my retirement pay which is equivalent to my current salary cut in half multiplied by the number of years of service. It would be a lot of help especially in my savings if I get to receive it. I hope and pray that God would take control over my future and over my current status in my current job. I don't know where He would lead me, but where ever it is, I know it's for my own good. Lord help me submit everything to your feet. Whatever happens...your will be done. Amen.

If you want to have some sort of investment, try turning to gold instead of dollars.
