Surreal

It's been almost one and a half years since I last posted anything on this blog and the last post I had was about my goals for 2015. It's like a miracle that the most important ones that I have listed on the list of goals I had came true the year after.

Here are the things that came true in 2015 and 2016:

1) Buy a Car, Learn how to Drive
- Never thought I would be owning my own car! It's like a dream come true. Before I thought those who own a car are only those who are rich but thanks to new technology, owning a car is not that hard to achieve. If you have the money to pay for the down payment and enough resources to pay for the monthly amortization, it's really within reach. I'm grateful that my older brother lend me P42,000 for my down payment and my sister who is working as a nurse in Singapore pledge to help me in my monthly amortization. Thank you for giving me people who never failed to help me realize my dreams. Though I never learned how to drive - it's OK. My hubby is  the one driving for us which for me is more convenient hehe. Here's the pic
my of my beloved car, Ariah.

2)Reunite with Jojo's Family
-My hubby and I has been together for more than 12 years now and to be honest with you, I never really had a "true" bonding moments with my in laws. If I would count how many  times I met them personally, I would say more or less four times. Last part of 2015, after my father died, I was able to reunite with Jojo's family. They went and accompanied us to the wake and interment of my father. It's just so sad that we had that bonding moment in the saddest part of my life but I am still grateful that they gave their respect and I felt better knowing they are around that time. We also had our lunch after the burial of my father.

 3)Get Pregnant
-This is the ultimate wish/prayer I had for 2015. This is the last on my list because I know that only a miracle can make this wish come true. But it did. I was shocked upon learning that I was indeed pregnant by looking on the pregnancy test kit I purchased before. It took me 5 tests to finally convince myself that I was indeed pregnant. I am already 36 years old and I'm on the heavy side. I also had PCOS and for women with PCOS and with irregular menstruation...conceiving is really hard. Earlier that year, my hubby also had his sperm count test and it also shows it's hard for him to get someone pregnant because 50% of his sperm is immobile. Then one month after my father died, God gave us a surprise... we will be having own child. He is indeed a God who gives and takes away. I have been super sad because of my father's passing but my emotions shifted 360 degrees when I've learned I am conceiving a child. This is indeed a miracle  and until now, I still have times when I still can't believe it and I stand in awe on how God's hand can turn things around.

I will be delivering in less than three weeks and I am sooo excited to meet our little angel. Will update you. :)

Goals for 2015!

Happy New Year!!!

It's been months since I last posted something in here but I'm happy that I was still able to find time to get back to this. Hopefully this will be the start of a habit of posting at least one entry a week.

I wish I could go back to the time when blogging is so much a part of me...

Anyways, I want to share with you my goals for 2015. Forgive me for the wrong grammar because it's supposed to be a single goal for the year but I decided to make it multiple goals so I will have  more things to celebrate at the end of the year. I've learned from my favorite author Bo Sanchez that if you have a goal in mind, you have to write it down, and this is what I did! And I posted it in our bedroom wall... :)

First, be a servant of God - for years I've been wanting to be a part of the Church, I mean being able to serve God through the Church. Need to devote at least one day of my week to Church activities so I can show God how I value him. Hopefully that will happen very soon...once we were able to find a Church near our place. My mom is going to a Church nearby but she's so popular there the pastor might know I am living in with a man who is not my husband. Though we're planning of tieing the knot this August, I still want my mom to have some kind of a privacy so were still looking.

In line with this goal, I hope I can read the entire Bible this year. It's been my goal ever since but till now, I haven't read at least half of the Bible. So this year, hopefully I can find the time and the inspiration to do it!

Second, Invest in stocks! There has been several instances where I already have the money to buy my initial stocks but I'm kinda hesitant as P5000 will really go a long way. I'm fervently praying I could convince myself that investing in the Stock Market is for my future. This is a necessity.

Get Married, yup! I will be celebrating my 35th birthday on February 22 and my birthday wish is to get married this year. Me and my partner is not rooting for a "bongga" marriage, in fact, we've talked about it long time ago. Now, I want to make it to reality. August 8 is the target date. We will both go the the city hall where our wedding will be officiated and we will just invite our friends and families in the reception in our house where we will just get a caterer for a hassle free celebration. Our budget? P20,000 hahaha! Spell PRACTICAL.

Buy a Car and learn how to drive. This is my life long dream, to have my own car. Last September, I applied for a car loan and was approved for a P500,000 loan! I've spoken with my brother and sister and they all agreed to help me. My brother will shoulder the downpayment and my sister will shoulder the P3000/month amortization. The car that we want to purchase is a Toyota Wigo which will cost us P9000 monthly...which means I have to shoulder P6000/month car payment. Phew! I've been paying a lot these past few months, house amortization, utilities, my parents allowance and some "debt" brought about by not so wise spending so I feel I wont be able to handle the additional expenses. So the wish of having a car of my own is still on the parking lot. Will have to decide if we will continue with the plan once my hubby already got a job.

This will be it for now as I still have a lot of things to do. I have to post the clothes I will be selling in my online shop. Check on my online shop at facebook.com/my-chubbywaist. Till next post!

Mama's Birthday Celebration

Jojo fetched me at around 6:45am at my office and we went home immediately as my brother along with the rest of our clan would be celebrating my mom's 64th birthday in my Kuya Edwin's house in Bulacan. I immediately prepared all the things we need to bring and cooked some Vigan Longaniza I bought at Emerald Bancheto during our lunch. They fetched us at around 7:30 am and off we go to Bulacan. I had a really nice time especially with our two babies, Eddyson and Emerson. Tita Beth also came with us with two of her grandchildren, Andre and Nadine. Of course, Ate Mel and Kuya Edwin is also present with Eddyson's yaya Maring. On our way, I bought 2 pcs Lechon Manok as my ambag for the celebration and I took this very cute picture of my nephew Empoy as he struggle to stand still as he is afraid of taking another step closer to the van.

We came to the house at around 10:30 am. To be honest, sobrang naawa ako sa bahay nila. Actually, that house was bought by my Kuya and his former wife for their family...unfortunately, their relationship did'nt last forever so the house has been abandoned as nobody wants to live there anymore. We only come here twice a year, so pagpasok namin...sobrang dami nang agiw. Sayang talaga, sobrang ganda pa naman ng place. They have 2 bedrooms and a maid's room. Plus a very nice kitchen, a huge lawn and an extra room for laundry. Naiwan ang nag-iisang tv kaso di nakakakuha ng reception, buti nalang, kuya brought with him his laptop...and buti nalang may dala akong dvd. Watched Caregiver and Hancock.

Btw, mama wants the food to be on the native side so they assigned Jojo to have the large tilapia grilled. Mama also cooked Pinakbet (her specialty) and brought Malagkit and Pancit. Ate Mel cooked fried Tofu, talbos ng kamote and okra with bagoong, and of course my Lechon Manok. We really had a very nice lunch time together, I've eaten so much and sobrang asaran talaga ang naganap sa harap ng hapag kainan! Mama boasted that only now did people found out about the miracle Malunggay gives to the body...and proudly say na "kaya kami matatalino nina Tita Beth kasi batang malunggay kami..." Hindi ko na kinontra si mama kasi birthday nya naman, so nagpatawa ako about the text i received from my friend Ice about a certain taong grasa, asking a student for a coin...the student apparently asked the taoong grasa if he will just use the money for his bisyo...the taong grasa said "wala ho akong bisyo" and the student - upon hearing that said : "halika muna sa bahay namin, ipapakita ko sa nanay ko kung anong nangyayari sa mga taong walang bisyo...." - my kuya Edwin and Ate Mel laughed so hard....but mama remained silent and seems absorbing the things I've said..." ah bakit daw walang bisyo..." and we started laughing so hard that we almost run out of breath...I said..."ay ayoko nang kumain ng malunggay mula ngayon...." teasing mama because her pick up is slow at that time. Mama, realizing what I was implying just laughed and tap my shoulder saying..."inaasar mo na naman ako ha!"

That was a really enjoyable time with the rest of the family, but it would be much happier if Ate Em's family is present. Anyways, after a busy lunch time, I took a nap as I have been awake for 18 hours already. Nagising ako, uuwi na kami at 5:00 pm. Hinatid nila kami hanggang bahay and pag-uwi..plakda na ako.

Im so happy seeing my family again. I hope we could have more bondings in the future that would be as happy as this one.

INGGIT AKO...

I just recently received a text from my eldest brother Kuya Edwin that goes something like "MIMI and Ems...Praise God! Lalake ang magiging baby ko! God has been so good to me!" - i know that kuya is so excited about it. She had 2 daughters from his previous marriage and I know that he is fervently praying that this time it would be a boy - and his prayer had been answered! And syempre sa mga panahong ganito na super saya ni kuya , sinamantala na namin and we demanded for a celebration kaya eto...nawala sya sa sarili at nagset agad ng dinner kinabukasan...hihihi

I am so happy for my kuya, i know na he had so many trials in the past and there came a point na talagang mafefeel mo sa kanya na he is at the end of his rope na, pero as what the saying says na "when youre at the end of the tunnel, either 2 things will happen...its either God will supply a stone for you to walk on or He will teach you how to fly" (something to that effect na lang hehe).

The date was set at around 6pm sa Chicken Inasal at the Araneta Area sa tapat ng Gateway. Dami ko na naman nakain sobra! (huhuhu) and while eating nagkwento kwento and i can feel in the voice of Kuya na he feels contented na and he is at peace na kahit papano. This is the first time i saw his glowing face again after a long long time...and syempre napag usapan na naman ang "complicated relationship" namin ni jojo...well come to think of it - gusto ko na ring magkafamily. I mean a complete family na me mommy, daddy at baby - kaso
natatakot akong manganak! (ano beh! ) seriously i dont know, siguro because of the negative things na ive been hearing from a lot of people na its painful. I dont have a high tolerance for pain and pag naiisip ko pa lang sumasakit na ang balakang ko! (meron ba? hihihi) Ewan, pero sana sooner or later that day will come wherein God will give me a chance to bring life to this world and I hope it would be because of the love i shared with Jojo (wow! ako ba to?!)

Anyways, i am fervently praying that our new angel will be healthy and I hope that he will grow up a good and successful man...Im so excited to see him. 3 months to go pa!

Hopefully ang susnod na uuha sa family , samin
na galing!
wow! feeler! haha...
